Frequently Asked Questions
Will you work with families outside of workshops?
We don't describe our child as
"difficult", only "quirky" with some behaviors that push the limits.
Could we still work with The Nurtured Heart Approach?
We have siblings and we have found one of
them more challenging than the others. Can we work with The Nurtured
Heart Approach with our challenging child alone?
A:
No. The Nurtured Heart Approach is a process that's about creating
relationships which will support success and positive choices now and
in the future. Traditional parenting programs may perform well in many
families. However, families that struggle with behaviors outside of the
norm often meet with frustration with traditional parenting methods;
through no fault of their own. Parents try harder and harder and
oftentimes, things get worse and worse using these traditional
parenting tools. The NHA offers a refreshing change from the ordinary
to the extra-ordinary and if you've had frustrations with parenting
tools in the past, your family will appreciate the difference.
Q: Is Your Service Insurance Billable?
A: No. One Sand Grain Family Consulting is not a medical service provider and does not accept or process insurance claims.
A: Yes! While workshops can meet the needs of several families at one time; we understand that some families are more comfortable with direct and one-on-one learning.
A: Yes! All children can experience the beautiful shift in perspective that comes from the NHA.
A: No. The Nurtured Heart Approach is a family system of creating relationships among all family members. Parents will appreciate the refreshing shift in perspective that happens in their home, and with all of their children, once they start experiencing the NHA.If you have a question that you think should be addressed here, please submit it on the "Contact Us" form and your question, with our answer, may appear here!
